R. M. Morgan was born and raised in the mountains of North Carolina, and he enjoys writing about the history and unique character of his home region. Last Train to Danville is the second novel in the Roth/Gannon Murder/Mystery series, centered on the different principal characters of Harriett Roth (the master sleuth) and Don Gannon (her right-hand man, occasional loose cannon, and lead Private Investigator).
The author seeks to provide his readers with a challenging whodunit: can they solve the mystery before the detectives? He believes the perfect read entails curling up in a comfortable chair and sleuthing for the truth. Currently, he lives in Southern California with his wife and son, working on the third installment of the series.
